No one wants to carry around two individual tools when all you really need is one. That’s where the 18V Makita BHP454 comes in. Both a driver-drill and a hammer driver-drill combined into one, the Makita BHP454 cordless drill allows you to do more work quicker than ever before.

Compact and extremely powerful, the Makita BHP454 cordless drill is leading in its class. It packs an astonishing 560 in.lbs. of Max Torque and 360 in.lbs. of PTI Torque with its 4-pole motor. The two-speed transmission can either function at 0-400 RPM in low speed or 0-1,700 RPM in high speed, which means that you can adjust the drill according to your specific needs.

The Makita BHP451 is actually two tools combined into one: a hammer drill and a driver. Unlike most drills with only two speed options, this has three so that you can vary the speed depending on exactly what kind of project you are doing. The low gear is 0-300 RPM, mid-range is 0-600 RPM, and top gear is 0-1,700 RPM.

“This has GOT to be the finest impact driver that I have ever used and owned. It came with the hammer drill/driver as a package which made it an ever better deal at my local big name home store.  Makita continues to set the standard in power and performance with the BTP 140 in the Xrp model.   The new Li-on battery technology gave me a good feeling that I was not going to have to buy another expensive throw away battery that you often find the yellow competitors forcing you to do when they die after a few charging cycles.     Nothing has ever felt so comfortable and yet powerful in my grasp.  You will not need gloves to ensure you have a secure grip because of the rubberized palm backing.  It is extremely well balanced and light.  Way lighter than anything I have ever used and it is still an 18volt.  The 3 amp hour power band allows a consistent trigger feel to the piece you are working on while you apply power.  There is no learning curve to “get the feel” so there was no stripping out screw heads or breaking off bolt heads.   I have done my homework regarding the Makita brand and I can be assured that I believe all of them to be spot on in their statement that Makita is the best of the battery tools out there.  I agree and I am not an easy sell.  In fact, I am usually the guy that all the bad things happen to in that “broad instance”.  I don’t get that feeling out of this set that I bought from Makita. ”
