If you need a cordless drill that’s reliable, durable, and compact, look no further than the DeWalt DC759KA. Even though it’s lightweight and can fit into small spaces, it has a high performance motor that delivers 380 unit watts of power.

The DeWalt DC759KA cordless drill has a dual-speed range (0-450 RPM and 0-1500 RPM) so that you can choose the setting that is best for whatever job you’re doing. It charges in as little as one hour, and comes with two batteries, a double-ended screwdriver bit, and a heavy-duty case. This drill is also very light, weighing only 5.2 pounds. Another great thing about the DeWalt DC759KA is the 1/2 inch keyless ratcheting chuck which provides really good grip for your drill bits.

Pros:

  • Fits into the smallest of spaces
  • Quick charge
  • Quieter than most drills
  • Smaller but still powerful

Cons:

  • No side handle
  • Some people have said the battery life could be better

Perfect for:

1) Tight spaces

2) Minimizing fatigue

3) DIY projects at home

4) Difficult jobs

Great features:

  • Weighs only 5.2 lbs
  • ½” single sleeve keyless ratcheting chuck
  • Dual speed range (0-450 RPM and 0-1500 RPM)
  • Only 1 hour to charge the battery
  • Delivers up to 380 unit watts of power

Whether or not you’ve purchased a DeWalt drill before, you will not be disappointed with the DeWalt DC759KA cordless drill. Even though it’s smaller and very light, it still packs as much power as most of the bigger drills you can find.

While the battery life could be a bit better, it does come with two 18-volt batteries so that you’re able to charge one while you use the other. The batteries are said to charge in only about an hour too. Overall, I think this is a good drill and it’s worth checking out.

R.A. Livingston is one customer who has written a DeWalt DC759KA review, and he truly loves his drill. He’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking to purchase a top-quality drill.

“When I “moved up” from an 8.4V Black and Decker to a 12V Craftsman, I thought I had arrived in life. Due to some incompetence at the Orange Box, I picked up a brand new 759KA for $89 (read it and weep!). It is incredible–loads of power, long lasting and quick charging batteries, easy to hold for long periods of time, one hand chuck, good feel in the hand, and dual speed range (IMHO) is just right. It was my first DeWalt tool, and I have since picked up a 16 ga finish nailer that is equally great. FYI: my old B&D still works well (battery is phenomenal; go figure) and my Craftsman did well but the batteries died at the 13 month mark.

You won’t be unhappy with this tool, and unless you need a bulkier and heavier 18V drill, this is up to anything. The batteries are not the “XRP” designation but I can’t see any room for improvement with the “plain” DeWalt 18V batteries.”

DeWalt DC720KA Review by Jim Walters

Overall Rating

The cheapest price for this DeWalt can be found on Amazon. Click here to check it out.

The advantages of a small, cordless drill are obvious: they can fit into tight spaces and allow you to do various types of jobs around the house, on the construction site, or wherever you need a drill. A really good drill you can buy for this purpose today is the DeWalt DC720KA.

With its high performance and durability, the DeWalt DC720KA cordless drill is one that you can count on. It contains two 18-V batteries, both of which are fully charged within 1 hour, and a heavy-duty carrying case to protect your drill.

Pros:

  • Easily fit into tight spaces
  • Lightweight
  • Optimal performance because of its dual speed range

Cons:

  • Several people have said the battery-life isn’t as great as it could be, but it does come with two of them so you can always have the extra charged and ready to go.

Perfect for:

1) Heavy duty work

2) Tight spaces

3) Minimizing fatigue

4) Drilling into wood as well as metal

Great features:

  • 4.8 lbs
  • ½” chuck to reduce slips
  • 2-speed range (0-500 RPM, 0-1700 RPM)
  • Frameless motor with maximum power of 410 unit watts out
  • L.E.D. worklight
  • On-board bit storage
  • Two 18-V batteries so you always have one ready

Many DeWalt DC720KA reviews have stated that it can be dropped repeatedly and still work, which just proves how durable this drill really is. What I really like about this drill is that even though it’s small enough to fit into tighter spaces, I don’t feel that power has been sacrificed at all.

The one drawback with this particular DeWalt model is the battery life. It definitely could be better, but overall it’s not terrible. On the plus side, it comes with two batteries so you can just charge one while you use the other and you shouldn’t have any problems.

If you’re looking for something that can withstand the test of time and help you with all your projects around the house or on the job site, you can’t go wrong with the DeWalt DC720KA.

One person who wrote a review of the DeWalt DC720KA cordless drill stated:

“Best drill I have ever had. It just has a better feel to me than my friends Milwaukee. I had a Ryobi that worked well for 1 year, but after a year it started to run rough and it was suggested to me to buy a more quality tool. Wasn’t sure to get Dewalt, Makita, or Milwaukee, but I’m glad I got this Dewalt. Small for an 18v but more than enough power.”
